Why This Video?

Getting Back on Their Feet
documentary trailer

Requires Quicktime

When I conceived of the design of the ADRSupport web site in 2004, I recalled the stages of decision-making I endured while considering medical options, like artificial disc replacement. All this “fun” happened before ANY FDA approval, which occurred in October 2004 with the Charite’. The taxonomy of this web site provided a way to organize information — in loose accordance — to the “staged” information resources that patients need throughout their decision-making process.

As patients know, there’s an insane amount of information and support that is needed when considering spinal procedures. And how can someone find and connect with another spine patient who can help them sort through the information universe? In this video (release in the summer of 2008) patients will appreciate learning from each patient interviewed. As well, many will appreciate seeing this very personal -– and previously obfuscated process — come to life. Hopefully, this video will help patients make more informed decisions about their treatment options so they can literally get back on their feet…..and get back to working, living and loving.
